Hosts and hotels

Rooms filled by people who already have a reason to come.

Event traffic is predictable in a way ordinary tourism is not. We know the dates, the venue and roughly how many people are flying in, which means we can fill your rooms in the weeks either side of a summit rather than hoping for walk-ins.

Getting listed

Six steps, one of them in person.

We do not import listings from anywhere else and we do not publish on the strength of uploaded photographs. Somebody comes and looks. It takes longer, and it is why a visitor can trust a guesthouse on this site the same way they trust a chain hotel.

If something fails the checklist we tell you exactly what and why. Fix it and ask for another visit.

  1. 01

    Register

Property details, photographs and documents showing you own it or are authorised to let it

  2. 02

    Pending verification

Your listing exists but is not bookable and not in search

  3. 03

    We schedule a visit

An agent agrees a time with you and comes to the property

  4. 04

    Inspection

Security, fire safety, cleanliness, amenities as described, photographs matching the rooms

  5. 05

    Decision

Approved, or rejected with reasons and a route back

  6. 06

    Terms and go live

Sign the supplier contract electronically and your rooms are listed

What the inspection covers

  • Locks and external security
  • Fire detection and exits
  • Cleanliness and linen
  • Water and power reliability
  • Amenities as advertised
  • Photographs match the rooms
  • Accessibility as described
  • Emergency contact on site

You set availability

Manage your own unit types, rates, availability and blackout dates. Nothing is booked over your calendar.

Commission, not subscription

We keep an agreed percentage of each booking. Nothing to pay to be listed and nothing to pay when you are empty.

Paid on a cycle

We collect from the traveller and settle with you on agreed terms, with a statement showing every booking behind the payment.

Somewhere within reach of the KICC?

Summit weeks put more people in Nairobi than the hotels near the venue can hold. That is the gap independent properties fill, once they are verified.
